„Miokinematyczna odbudowa wzorców zespołu lędźwiowo – miednicznego”

Today it is with much excitement and pride that we unveil our first international web pages. If you’re like me, the words themselves make little sense but the overall picture of PRI concepts and courses spreading further outside our national borders is very satisfying. We have much work ahead of us but the great deal that has already been accomplished could not have been at all possible without our Polish colleagues, Michal Niedzielski and Gregory Parfianowicz. Michal and Gregory will travel to Poland in March 2009 to present two courses covering material from our Myokinematic Restoration course. This endeavor has been a commitment of their time, expertise and energy and for that we are grateful. So, be sure to forward this link to all your friends in Poland!

Home Safely…

After spending four days in Seoul, South Korea, Ron has returned home safely.  Although he is adjusting to the 14 hour time change, he is energized by his experience!  Dr. Kim and Dr. Chang of Kim and Chang Spine and Chiropractic Clinic hosted a three day course covering both Myokinematic Restoration and Postural Respiration.

Over 20 attendees were present at this course.  The majority of the class didn’t speak English, however, Dr. Kim was there to translate.

By the end of the three days, Ron had all the attendees checking Adduction Drop Tests, performing 90-90 Hemibridges, and performing a manual Left AIC technique!

While not teaching, Ron was able to learn about Dr. Kim and Dr. Chang’s practice and their current method of treatment.  The majority of the physicians present were Oriental Medicine Doctor’s.  While there, Ron received two vitamin injections, which he said “were excellent”.  Below is a picture of Ron with two Doctors and behind them is the area where the herbs are stored.

These are the herbs before they are extracted into a substance you drink.

In the evenings, Dr. Kim and Dr. Chang entertained Ron with dinner.

Prior to leaving, Ron captured a few “Kodak” moments.

This is a fitness park (look at that thoracic abduction)!

Downtown Seoul!

Although Ron is glad to be home safely, he feels honored to have had this experience.

Comments from Postural Restoration - Clinical Course

Our first clinical course, Postural Restoration, took place in Woodbury, MN last week! Here are some of the comments:

“Very helpful with verbal cues and patient education. This explained the whys of what to use depending on testing results.”

“Very helpful, explained things thoroughly.”

“Carrie is a very good, knowledgeable speaker. I felt very comfortable asking questions and participating in disucssions.”

“Carrie was an awesome instructor and was able to bring together and answer a lot of questions I had after the February 2008 Myokinematic Restoration course.”

A clinical course takes place when you choose to host a course at your facility for your staff only. Your staff can be educated as a team while saving on continuing education costs. In-services topics, dates, and times are flexible depending on your staff needs. All in-services are presented by PRI certified therapists. In addition to having completed an intense certification process through PRI, these individuals have been clinically practicing postural restoration principles for several years and have been individually trained by Ron Hruska.
