Priori Aquatics System - Essex Junction, VermontLast week Ron and I traveled to Essex Junction, Vermont to see the Priori Aquatics System that was recently installed in Essex Physical Therapy. Estelle LeClair, MSPT, PRC owner of Essex Physical Therapy, began installation of this aquatics system in September. Ron and I have been eager to make the trip to Vermont to finally see the aquatic system that Ron Hruska has spent years designing. Amazing is the only word I can come up with to describe this unique, unconventional aquatic design but even “amazing” falls short of what it’s like to see PRI concepts in water. Each station has been designed to compliment land based PRI activity that is taught in PRI courses by placing the patient, jets, and flow of water in a desirable position to achieve PRI outcomes. You have to actually see it and feel it to truly understand what this aquatic system can do for you and your patients! The Priori Aquatics System will be completed within the next couple weeks! Amazing! The photos helped me conceptualize how the stations would function for non-manual techniques. (Previous sketches on the web site were hard for me to imagine how they would promote the desired training positions.) Congratulations, let us hope the first of many more.
