On Left SI Joint Dysfunction…

For left SI joint sprain when you say the left SI joint gaps anteriorly because of compensation on the left side to externally rotate the left hip are you meaning left AF ER or L FA ER or both?  In a straight L AIC pattern is the left femur considered externally or internally oriented?

In a non-patho compensatory Left AIC patient, the patient will demonstrate left AF ER and left FA IR.  Left SI joint sprain is a compensatory motion, therefore, the innominate is either moving into left AF IR to align with the femur or the femur is moving into FA ER to align with the innominate.
