Cheryl graduated from the University of Vermont in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.  She worked in rural Vermont in various settings including Student Services at UVM when she was introduced to PRI.  In 2005 she took her first PRI course and so many persistent questions were acknowledged and explained!  She continued coursework through the Institute and became Postural Restoration Certified in 2018.  Cheryl has worked in the Outpatient Rehab Department at PenBay Medical Center in Rockport Maine from 2003 to 2023 treating people with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses.

She now has her own clinic, Cheryl Chase Physical Therapy in Warren Maine.  She works closely with osteopathic doctors and pain management specialists.  She also uses Integrated Dry Needling to compliment Postural Restoration work.  Cheryl treats people with a broad range of diagnoses including neck pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis and headaches.  She is continually amazed by the profoundly liberating effect breathwork and body position can have on someone experiencing pain and limited movement.  That glimmer of hope that comes with renewed movement is beautiful to behold.

Cheryl and her husband have raised four daughters who all live in New England when they aren’t adventuring afar.  She enjoys cooking and watercolor painting and taking walks beside the sea and putting her feet in the sand and the waves.

At the time of PRI Credentialing, providers are required to submit verification of current licensure or certification status to determine eligibility for PRI Credentialing. It is the responsibility of credentialed providers to update the Postural Restoration Institute if their license or certification has expired, been suspended, or revoked, so that they can be removed from the PRI Find a Provider map. As Postural Restoration Institute places this responsibility on providers, it cautions consumers that they should not rely on Postural Restoration Institute’s website as evidence of a provider’s current licensure or certification status. Instead, the Postural Restoration Institute recommends that patients and clients wishing to verify a provider’s current licensure or certification status contact the relevant regulatory boards or reach out directly to the provider to ask for current verification of his or her licensure or certification. The Postural Restoration Institute is not liable for and disclaims any responsibility for services performed by PRI Credentialed providers.
