Heather uses a holistic approach to healthcare including assessing how humans move. She focuses on individualized assessment and treatment that meets you where you are at in your health care journey. She believes in the interconnectedness of all body systems with a passion for how the mind and body interact. This passion lead to becoming a yoga instructor with an emphasis on breath, trauma sensitive yoga and interoception in postures and flows.
She uses a multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment that may include integration with a neuro-optometrist for visual integration, a specialized dentist for cranial and airway support, and any other health providers that support her client’s health.
Heather has a unique passion for pelvic floor disorders in women, men and children and this has been a focus since 1992. She was the first person to be board certified in Women’s Health PT in NE and at one time was doubly board certified in Geriatric PT.
Heather graduated with her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with distinction in 1990. She received her Masters in Gerontology from Wichita State University in 1995. In 2013, Heather earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified™ (PRC) as a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns, and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute®.
