Josh is currently an athletic trainer at Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University and a Master of Health Science degree from Western Carolina University.  It was at Appalachian State University where Josh was introduced to PRI by his mentor Jason Robey.

Prior to joining Mission Health, Josh was the Associate Athletic Trainer for Brevard College in Brevard, NC.  While at Brevard, he was able to use PRI techniques to improve his athlete’s performance on many successful teams, including the Division 2 National Champion Mountain Bike Team.

In his current role at Mission Health, Josh outreaches athletic training services to area Western North Carolina athletes. He is also a clinical preceptor for the Western Carolina University Athletic Training Program.  Josh is a regular presenter at local and state athletic training meetings and is a strong advocate for the Postural Restoration Institute.  In January 2016, Josh earned the designation of Postural Restoration Trained (PRT) as a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns, and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute®.

At the time of PRI Credentialing, providers are required to submit verification of current licensure or certification status to determine eligibility for PRI Credentialing. It is the responsibility of credentialed providers to update the Postural Restoration Institute if their license or certification has expired, been suspended, or revoked, so that they can be removed from the PRI Find a Provider map. As Postural Restoration Institute places this responsibility on providers, it cautions consumers that they should not rely on Postural Restoration Institute’s website as evidence of a provider’s current licensure or certification status. Instead, the Postural Restoration Institute recommends that patients and clients wishing to verify a provider’s current licensure or certification status contact the relevant regulatory boards or reach out directly to the provider to ask for current verification of his or her licensure or certification. The Postural Restoration Institute is not liable for and disclaims any responsibility for services performed by PRI Credentialed providers.
