Rachel graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2009 with a degree in Exercise Science and Psychology. She then moved to Richmond, Virginia to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2019 she earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified TM (PRC). This credentialing process recognizes her advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute®.
Rachel has been practicing physical therapy in an outpatient setting since 2012 and has experience with a wide variety of orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, autonomic, and chronic pain diagnoses. She has a special interest helping patients with vestibular dysfunction and post-concussion syndrome, return to school, work and sports. She uses her knowledge of vestibular therapy and PRI® to address complaints of pain, headaches, dizziness and instability. Rachel’s compassion and dedication to patient care makes her a wonderful asset to the Bon Secours team. Originally a Norfolk native, Rachel has lived in Richmond since 2009 and enjoys an active lifestyle hiking, running, travelling and cooking with her husband Nate.
