I came to the Hruska Clinic last November diagnosed with extreme anxiety and difficulty breathing. Torin became my PT, and he demonstrated such warm compassion and patience for my condition. I was having difficulty breathing deeply, and he started me slowly on a program that over two and half months helped me restore my ability to breathe deeply. I felt safe and confident in the exercises he demonstrated and gave me to do at home. I am so appreciative of his knowledge and care. Definitely five-star service!

After being born and raised in Colorado, Torin graduated from PT school at the University of North Dakota in 1999.  Fairly early in his career as a Physical Therapist he realized that what he learned in PT school taught him a lot of “WHAT” was happening and “WHAT” to do, but he never really knew “WHY” any of it was happening.  This changed when he took his first course from the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI) early in his career.  The material presented by PRI was the first time he really felt someone actually had a framework to answer the question why he was seeing what he was seeing.  This understanding dramatically changed the way he treated and the outcomes he was able to achieve.

After moving to Minot, North Dakota, continuing to learn more and more PRI science, and working there for 10 years, he was fortunate enough to be hired on as a staff Physical Therapist at the Hruska Clinic in Lincoln, NE in 2011.  In 2012 he earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) as a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns, and the influence of poly-articular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute®.

Since starting at the Hruska Clinic, Torin has continued to be able to grow in his understanding and knowledge of the science of PRI, particularly with a multi-disciplinary integration mindset. The ability to integrate the science of PRI with Podiatry, Dentistry and Optometry has led to a great understanding of the highly integrated system that is the asymmetrical human. With his co-workers he helped establish and manages the Hruska Clinic’s multidisciplinary PRIME program which brings patients in from across the globe to work with their multi-disciplinary team.  He is excited and humbled to be able to join the faculty of the Postural Restoration Institute to continue to educate and grow the science of PRI.

Torin stays busy with his wife, Leslie, and 5 growing children who continue to inspire and support him.

At the time of PRI Credentialing, providers are required to submit verification of current licensure or certification status to determine eligibility for PRI Credentialing. It is the responsibility of credentialed providers to update the Postural Restoration Institute if their license or certification has expired, been suspended, or revoked, so that they can be removed from the PRI Find a Provider map. As Postural Restoration Institute places this responsibility on providers, it cautions consumers that they should not rely on Postural Restoration Institute’s website as evidence of a provider’s current licensure or certification status. Instead, the Postural Restoration Institute recommends that patients and clients wishing to verify a provider’s current licensure or certification status contact the relevant regulatory boards or reach out directly to the provider to ask for current verification of his or her licensure or certification. The Postural Restoration Institute is not liable for and disclaims any responsibility for services performed by PRI Credentialed providers.
